ABC Entry-Level Production Associates Program

ABC/Touchstone Television announces the 2007-2008 Production Associates program, a 12-month paid program for college graduates. Selected candidates are placed in entry-level positions in the production management areas of Touchstone Television in Burbank, California. Applications will be accepted only between April 2, 2007 and April 18, 2007. The screening and review process includes interviews. Job assignments are expected to begin on July 9, 2007. Production Associates will be assigned to five main groups of Primetime Network television production: Production Management, Production Finance, Post-Production Management, Studio Crafts Management, and Business Affairs/Legal Affairs. Entry-level work within these groups involves basic clerical and administrative duties.

The Park School is on SecondLife

Something to check out - The Park School is on SecondLife, a free virtual world available for the Mac and PCs, that has been getting a lot of media attention lately. We have spaces for classes, group discussions, guest lectures, and for streaming student audio and video. Right now we're streaming WICB and some of the ICTV on demand streams. In the world you can go skateboarding, listen to live music, hang out and discuss art, religion, philosophy, or politics with people from all over the world. Kim Gregson's Qualitative Research class has been observing in world for the last several semesters.
